The Oconee County Democrats will host the First Annual "Donkey Ride" bike ride/fund raiser on Saturday, April 3, 2004 at 9 a.m. The ride will leave from the Oconee County Courthouse, Watkinsville, Georgia. There will be distance options of 22, 40, and 65 miles, or a five-mile fun ride. www.oconeedemocrats.org

First Kudzu Classic. 3 great rides from Marion County, Georgia sponsored by the Columbus Cycling Club. From Buena Vista 104.5 mi (some challenging hills but mostly flat) and 50 miles (easy half-century, from Draneville will be 30 miles (your granny could do it without using the granny gear). All through Plains for a great country restaurant (Mom's Kitchen) and all return to start. No sag, no fee, no organized rest stops. Registration starts at the Court House in Buena Vista at 7:00 A.M. Tour de Life Bike-a-Thon and celebration of cancer survivorship at Road Atlanta, Braselton GA, Saturday, April 10, 2004 Tour de Life is a family bike ride on the Road Atlanta racetrack, Saturday April 10, 2004. The ride will benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which funds programs in cancer survivorship. The event is not a race but a fun ride, pedaling around the curving hilly 2.5 mile race-car track (how many laps can you do?). Refreshments will be provided.

Ride the course the pros and Lance will ride at the finish of stage 6 Dodge Tour de Georgia. ride starts at the Georgia Mountain Fairground in Hiawassee, Ga 8:00am. there will be 2 loops, 12 mi fun ride and 35 mi circle the bald with 3 challenging climbs and beautiful mountain scenery in the areas of Hiawassee, Brasstown Bald, and Young Harris.(the pros will finish atop Brasstown bald later that day, come up and ride with us and watch the tour) entrants receive a t-shirt .
