Tour de Tugaloo
Toccoa
Tour the Tugaloo River and experience nature at it’s finest! Terrain is flat to hilly with beautiful vistas, three choices of loops, oodles of wildlife and fabulous fall colors! Sponsored by the Stephens County Foundation for the preservation of the Tugaloo River Corridor Entry fee: $20 non-refundable pre-registration fee received w/application form by October 24, 2003 ensures receiving a T-shirt on ride day. Late and/or ride day registration is $25, T-shirts available by mail following the event. Entry fees will be donated to Stephens County Foundation for “Share the Road” signage & support of this route as a Georgia/South Carolina official route connecting to designated state routes. Guarantee: Tour will take place rain or shine. Sign IN: 7AM, Yonah Dam Park, Yonah Dam Road, Toccoa, Georgia Start Time: 8AM Distance: Metric Century (62 miles), with three loop choices, 20.5-mile loop, 21-mile loop, and another 20.5 mile loop. Directions to Yonah Dam Park Toccoa, Georgia >From Atlanta – I-85 North to I-985 North which becomes Hwy 365 and Hwy 123. Follow signs to Toccoa, turn left at Jeanette Jamieson intersection (Hwy. 123). Proceed 10 miles to Riverdale Road at old BP store, turn left on Riverdale Road, (Riverdale will change names to Old Church Road) proceed to dead end at Prather Bridge Road, turn right. Proceed 6 miles to Yonah Dam Park.
