Proceeds will benefit Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity. 15, 30, 65 and 100 mile options. Ride begins at 8:30 a.m. for the 30, 65 and 100 mile option. 9:30 start for the 15 Mile option* *15 mile option is directly from Newnan High School and will ride past the Habitat Homes being built in Newnan and back tothe high school. The 15 mile is meant as a FUN, easy and informative ride. Come whether or not you have a bike, we'll have bikes for you (limited number available and you will still have to register for the ride) and there will be a pre-ride instructional meeting fo rules of the road, comfort, shifting and fun on a bike. Food will be served at the finish line with activities and festivities to enjoy. A special project is going on as well as each finisher will do their part to "build" a miniature version of the habitat home. Ride will leave and return to Newnan High School located at 190 La Grange St., Newnan, GA 30263. Directions from Atlanta: I 85 south to exit 41 (Moreland-Whiteburg) Turn right at bottom of ramp. Go 2-3 miles to Sewell Road (watch for Hot Spot). Turn left on Sewell. Go to the bottom of a slight hill and turn righ and watch for parking lot on left. You can register on line at www.bikereg.com or go to www.georgiavelo.com to print a form that can be mailed in.

Full Circle Half Century

2nd Annual "Full Circle Ride" Presented by the Social Circle Better Hometown Program in association with local sponsors, the ride will coincide with the Social Circle Fall Festival which runs from 9 am to 5 pm on the same day. The ride starts at 9 am in front of Gunter Hall, a restored antebellum mansion with ample free parking, located at 463 West Hightower Trail in Social Circle. Social Circle is approximately 30 minutes from Athens (Highway 78 West to Monroe, then turn left on GA Hwy. 11) or 45 minutes from Atlanta (I-20 East to Exit 98, turn left on GA Hwy. 11). Early registration (by Sept. 20th) is $25; After September 21st, registration is $30. Each entrant will receive a tee shirt and a generous gift bag. The 50 mile course will consist of flat to slightly rolling hills on secondary roads with a feed station at the mid-way point. The ride will start and end at Gunter Hall. A sag wagon will trail the last riders for those whose memories are stronger than their legs. After the ride, stroll through the historic downtown area and take in the Social Circle Fall Festival, which will feature Arts & Crafts booths, food vendors, special merchant displays, and many activities for the whole family.
